How to live and die consciously
The Life We Never Entered Every human being is born with a mystery. Before society gives us names, identities, ambitions and expectations, there exists a simple awareness — a child experiencing the world directly. A child does not need permission to enjoy rain. A child does not measure the value of a sunset. A child does not ask whether laughter will improve social status. But gradually, life teaches us to become performers. We learn roles: Student. Professional. Parent. Provider. Leader. Success story. Failure. Winner. Loser. Slowly, we begin confusing these roles with our true existence. The person disappears behind the personality. The human being disappears behind the image. The journey of consciousness begins when someone stops and asks: "Who am I beyond everything I have been taught to become?" This question is not a rejection of life. It is an entry into deeper life. The world encourages constant movement. More achievements. More possessions. More recognition. More goals. But rarely does anyone ask: "Who is the person chasing all these things?" A person can spend decades building a successful life and still feel absent from it. They may reach every destination society celebrates, yet discover they were not present during the journey. The tragedy is not that humans desire. Desire is part of being alive. The tragedy is unconscious desire — wanting without understanding why, chasing without knowing what is being chased. Awareness begins with observation. To watch a thought without immediately believing it. To notice anger before becoming anger. To recognize fear without allowing fear to become identity. To understand that consciousness is not something we create. It is something we uncover.
