Shadows of Justice — Story Summary Shadows of Justice follows Captain Roland Spike, a former Special Forces officer presumed dead after a classified naval mission off the coast of the Philippines goes catastrophically wrong. Thrown into the sea during an explosion, Roland survives against all odds and washes ashore, where he is rescued by a poor Filipino fisherman, his wife, and their young child. Living with them for months, Roland recovers physically but is deeply scarred by trauma, guilt, and the belief that the world has already buried him.
